A highly regarded construction and engineering consultancy is seeking to recruit a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer / Agent as part of the growth of their commissioning team in Charlotte, NC.
The position
The primary objectives of our Commissioning Engineer / Agent are to see that the processes involved in the commissioning of engineering services systems have been safely, diligently, and accurately planned, managed, tested and documented. This includes:
Acting as a key point of client contact
Develop and coordinate Commissioning Plans, consistent with ASHRAE Guideline O format.
Mentoring and leading junior engineers
Reviewing design specifications, criteria, drawings and other documentation
Proactively progress commissioning activities throughout the project cycle in conjunction with the General Contractor and vendors
By diligent management of the commissioning process seeing that systems are set to work optimally and verified as such, in accordance with the design requirements
Develop and coordinate functional testing of multi-stack equipment and multi-redundant system configurations within a trade
Accountability for the quality of service, delivery, and management of client expectations
Could this role be for you?
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or 4-7 years relevant experience
A minimum of 4 years of field experience in hands-on testing, validation, and troubleshooting of large Mechanical systems
Experience working on commissioning of large distribution systems within the pharmaceutical, mission critical, industrial, data center, healthcare or life science sectors.
