We are seeking a talented and experienced Drilling Engineer Manager to lead our team and oversee all drilling operations for our customers. In this role, you will be instrumental in planning and executing drilling operations, with a particular focus on integrating Managed Pressure Drilling technology into the drilling process. Your responsibilities will include supporting MPD operations both in the field and from the office.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the drilling engineering team, ensuring effective and efficient operation of drilling activities.
Provide technical input and support for Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) technology applications throughout the drilling process.
Develop and oversee drilling plans, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure seamless execution of MPD operations.
Monitor and evaluate drilling performance, implementing improvements and adjustments as needed.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to drilling and MPD operations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
A bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical diploma from an accredited university.
5-7+ years of direct MPD or engineering experience focusing on drilling.
Strong Excel and M.S. Office skills.
Drilling & Completions field experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in drilling engineering, with a strong background in Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) technology.
Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring teams.
In-depth understanding of drilling operations, techniques, and equipment.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and with customers.
Professional certifications and training in drilling engineering or MPD technologies are preferred.
