Our client is a tier 1 proprietary trading firm that is looking for a Senior Engineer specializing in Options Market Making, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, enhancing, and maintaining the cutting-edge technology that drives their global trading operations. Here, you'll collaborate with traders and developers across the organization, working on everything from crafting high-performance trading algorithms to building a top-tier research environment.
In this role, you'll work closely with the senior traders and researchers, tackling a wide range of challenges from establishing direct connections to global options exchanges to addressing complex performance and scalability issues. Your work will also include developing advanced tools and datasets that accelerate quantitative research, directly impacting our trading strategies.
Responsibilities:
Led the vision and set the technical course for the new options market-making trading platform.
Design, develop, and sustain significant components of their advanced low-latency trading systems which will support options market making.
Ensure all programs, new and old, meet our high standards for coding, architecture, and operations.
Gain in-depth knowledge of trading mechanics and market exchanges to further optimize the trading environment.
You will work directly with senior stakeholders within trading, engineering, and the R&D department to drive collaborative success.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Hands-on development experience with a live trading platform that handles US options from a tier 1 investment bank, hedge fund, or proprietary trading firm.
A strong background in working closely with quantitative researchers and traders is highly desirable.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced proficiency in C++ with multiple years of experience working on a trading system.
Familiarity with Python is a plus.
Superior skills in design, debugging, and problem-solving.
In-depth knowledge of UNIX operating systems (with a focus on Linux), as well as system/processor performance and network communication.
