Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer for an on-site position in Miami, FL. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the server-side logic and architecture of our software solutions. As an on-site team member, you will work closely with our CTO, front-end developers, and other team members to build scalable and efficient backend systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain backend systems using Python with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Design and implement RESTful APIs for communication between the backend and front-end systems.
Collaborate with the CTO, front-end developers, and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration of front-end and backend functionalities.
Implement best practices for backend development, including performance optimization, security, and scalability.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in backend development.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
3-5 years of experience as a Backend Developer or a similar role, specifically working on complex web applications.
Proficiency in Python and experience with Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
Familiarity with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js.
Experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Docker, GitHub, Jira, and AWS Managed Services and Tooling.
Knowledge of MongoDB for databases and AWS for cloud services.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred:
Experience in healthcare IT or working with medical software applications.
Understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns.
