Job Description:

Action Group Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a manufacturing facility in Tulsa.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on EPC projects in the renewable energy sector.
  • Proficient in mechanical design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, standards, and best practices (e.g., ASME, ISO).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to relocate to Tulsa, Oklahoma, and travel as required.

Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Engineer will design, install, and commission mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the project's success through diligent project execution.

  • Develop detailed mechanical engineering designs, including specifications, calculations, and drawings for mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, and mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Perform feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations of mechanical systems.
  • Participate in project planning, scheduling, and budgeting activities.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and other engineering disciplines, to ensure timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to the Engineering Lead.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical specifications and evaluation of bids for mechanical equipment and materials.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure that purchased items meet project requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, including reviewing and approving installation procedures, inspecting installations, and troubleshooting issues.
  • Ensure that mechanical systems are installed according to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Develop and oversee testing and commissioning plans for mechanical systems.
  • Conduct and document tests to verify system performance and compliance with project specifications.
  • Implement quality control procedures and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in audits and inspections as required.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, manuals, and documentation for mechanical systems.
  • Maintain accurate records of engineering designs, calculations, and project correspondence.
