American Transmission Co. is seeking an Planning Engineer to be part of our collaborative team that assesses the present and future needs of the electrical grid. The Planning Engineer will use electrical system models to determine the best approaches to helping the industry transition from reliance on traditional forms of generation to clean renewable resources, energy storage and other types of emerging technology. Additionally, the Planning Engineer will use their bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in transmission system planning to help new resources and loads connect to the system by coordinating with interconnection customers, validating modeling data, forecasting transmission system issues, and collaborating on solutions to optimize transmission system reliability and efficiency.
