Contech is seeking individuals to lead projects in the chemical and petrochemical industries related to Remote Instrument Enclosures (RIE) and Power Distribution Centers (PDC).
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Coordinate and supervise multi-discipline projects, including, but not limited to I&E Engineering and Design, Control Systems Engineering and Design, Fabrication, and Field Construction.
Assist on proposal development and define the scope of the project in collaboration with management and technical leads.
Assist the Project Manager in determining the resources (time, budget, equipment, etc.) required to complete projects.
Assist on developing a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
Review the project schedule and budget with management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule and budget as required.
Assist in contracting qualified personnel to work on projects as required.
Execute projects according to the project plan.
Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary, to ensure the successful completion of the project.
Establish communication to update stakeholders, including appropriate staff in the organization, regarding the progress of the project.
Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project and client standards.
Write reports on the project for management.
Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase.
Engineer, design, estimate, and procure Electrical and Instrumentation buildings, up to 15kV.
Engineer, select and procure Switchgear, Fire & Gas systems, HVAC system, lighting/lumen calculations, grounding protection.
Perform arc flash, load flow, short circuit, and power factor system studies using ETAP and SKM.
