Job Description:

Robert Half's client is seeking a Help Desk Technician for a 3-6 month contract.

The Help Desk professional is responsible for supporting customers or internal employees who are experiencing technical issues. This includes troubleshooting technical challenges, responding to queries, as well as addressing and resolving complaints.

Key Job Duties:
  1. Answering and responding promptly to user queries and complaints.
  2. Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues.
  3. Training users to work with hardware, software, and network systems.
  4. Installing, maintaining, and updating software.
  5. Keeping accurate records of repairs, fixes, and maintenance.
  6. Communicating effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  7. Developing troubleshooting and help guides for users.
  8. Testing systems and software to ensure functionality.
  9. Keeping up-to-date with technological advancements and trends.
  10. Collaborating and liaising with IT technician team and developers.


Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a help desk technician or similar role.
  2. Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products.
  3. Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
  4. Excellent communication skills to effectively deal with customers' issues.
  5. Proficiency in English and patience while communicating.
  6. Knowledge in specific software or hardware systems depending on the organization's requirements.
  7. Willingness to learn and to stay updated with latest technology trends.
  8. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field (based on the organization's needs).
