Job Summary
- Safely transport passengers to and from extracurricular activities, events and athletic competitions.
- Maintains written documentation on driving assignments.
- Maintains positive customer relations with passengers, drivers of other vehicles and pedestrians.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent (such as HSED or GED).
Required
- 2 years experience.
Required
- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured by Indiana University.
- A Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement (Please note, the university will pay for training if necessary).
Required
- Proficient communication skills.
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Time management skills.
- Highly thorough and dependable.
- Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations and safety precautions and practices in the operation of public transportation vehicles.
- Ability to know your location in relation to the environment or know where other objects are in relation to you and your vehicle.
- Ability to read and understand written instructions, hear and understand verbal instructions and to maintain legible records.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a diverse population and effectively communicate with passengers, members of the pubic and other staff.
