RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce's client, a publicly traded renewable energy company, is seeking a Settlement Analyst in Houston, TX. The role is 2 days in the office & 3 days work from home. The Settlement Analyst is responsible for managing shadow settlements for various ISOs (independent system operators). This position is also responsible for managing the revenue billing and accounts receivable process for large utility-scale solar and wind plants, understanding contractual stipulations associated with -price- and -quantity- and managing documents and ensuring regulatory compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Management of all assigned ISO processes including data management, reporting and timely analysis


• Energy settlements experience with complex structured transactions and RTO/ISO Settlements and a fundamental understanding of energy trading risk management (ETRM) systems


• Managing the dispute process with the ISO and qualified scheduling entities (QSE)


• Support the Accounting team with various tasks including recording settlement activity as part of accounting close, managing regulatory filings and audit requests, and performing trend analyses


• Responsible for all revenue billing and cash applications for all large utility-scale solar and wind projects


• Provide reports, analyses, trend analyses, or other ad hoc reports as required by both internal and external parties to support legal, regulatory, and commercial requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required


• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance with 1-2 years of settlement experience


• Knowledge of SAP, general financial reporting software, and applicable power and utilities platforms used for invoicing and recording is preferred


• Knowledge of accounts receivable (and to a limited extent) accounts payable process


• Ability to work well in a team-oriented, collaborative environment that emphasizes attention to detail, meeting deadlines and working together to achieve company-wide objectives


• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills such as queries, pivot tables, and formulas, and proficiency with other Microsoft Office products


• Written and verbal communication skills that enable effective communication with various groups within the company


• Previous energy industry experience is preferred


• Analytical and problem-solving skills


• Detail oriented


• Baseline knowledge of renewable energy industry preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
