As the Director of Business Operations, this role provides analytical and coordination support for CCO in assessing strategic and operational performance for all Tallgrass Commercial & Business Development units. Leads strategic analytics, continuous improvement projects, and conceptualizes and implements progressive change and transformation initiatives. Supports commercial & business development operations.

EDUCATION:
Requires a bachelor's degree with an MBA, MPA or CSA preferred .
Looking for 5-10 years of experience in a commercial / business development or scheduling environment in a mid-stream environment.
Must have demonstrated experience in a business leadership role with a focus on executive-level advising, project execution and cross-functional/sector collaboration in a challenging stakeholder landscape.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Position will have indirect responsibility for managing and directing the work of analyst-level personnel.
Above the minimum requirements, not required but advantageous in this position:
Advanced knowledge of low-carbon solutions across the value chain (production, transport, storage, and utilization).
Experience in regulated energy commodity markets.
MBA or other relevant graduate degree.

Drives definition and implementation of the Commercial strategy, including:
Acts as the eyes and ears for commercial leadership regarding business development/ commercial topics, policies, or other initiatives that impact Tallgrass initiatives.
Communication (ensure each Tallgrass commercial leadership team member, and others as needed, are aware of the goals, activities and results)
Streamlines communication and information flow within the commercial department through management of the communication and organization structures.
Assists with organizational assessments.
Drives overarching business processes such as long-term capability plans, strategic workforce planning, employee engagement survey follow up that is cross functional
Drives operational efficiency and optimization by identifying process synergies and best practices
Collects and analyzes commercial project financial data to provide management with internal reports
Performs routine business analysis using various techniques, e.g. statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, data mining.
Develop and implement systems to capture market analysis and business operation information.
