As the Housekeeping Manager, you lead the housekeeping team and operations at The Blake one of New Mexicos extraordinary hotels and at The Blake Residences. As a leader, you operate as an extension the legendary hospitality provided by our founders. You seek solutions and results that create a high-performing, safe conscious work environment. You manage a team thats passionate about delivering a unique and unpretentious experience to guests of The Blake. You contribute to the teams professionalism and performance and consciously engage with your staff members, who efficiently accomplish a combination of cleaning duties to maintain a safe, clean and orderly property for guests and staff. As the Housekeeping Manager for The Blake, you will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Lead a team of supervisors and staff to provide an extraordinary guest experienceCommunicate with guests and staff in a professional, warm, and genuine mannerEnsure a safe working environment for all team members by instituting a comprehensive safety plan.Schedule staff that is fiscally responsible and in line with budgetOrder supplies and maintain a clean working environment. Build relationships with guests that encourage comments and feedback. Respond to guest questions in a professional and punctual manner.Work closely with other operations managers on the delivery of hotel operationsAttend and conduct regular pre-shift team meetings and hotel team meetings.Attend property development meetings and provide input for future operationsSupport operations team daily in a hands-on approach to teamworkMaintain adequate par levels of linen, terry, and other supplies Lead team-wide training Reliable attendance on all scheduled workdays

Qualifications/Knowledge:
Highly detail-oriented.Able to accurately follow verbal and written instructions.Possess a valid drivers license At least two years of experience in hospitality, preferably managing a housekeeping teamKnowledge of Microsoft Office, basic typing skills, and computer knowledge.Fluent in verbal and written English, other language skills preferredAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Work Environment:

Taos Ski Valley, Inc. is often a fast-paced work environment, especially during Holidays and Peak days. TSVI is in a high-altitude alpine environment. Position may require travel on uneven, snow-packed, or icy terrain and may be exposed to wet, cold, and/or humid conditions. Must be able to work in close quarters and with other staff.

Physical Demands of Position Include:
Frequently lifting up to twenty-five pounds and occasionally lifting up to fifty to seventy-five pounds. Sitting approximately 25% of the work time. Frequent walking, reaching, and bending. This position requires individuals to be out in winter conditions for 10% to -20 % of work time in the fall and winter.

Background Check:

Positions dealing with children, of a safety-sensitive and/or confidential nature, require driving, or positions that handle cash may require a background check and MVR check. Employment is contingent upon a favorable background check and MVR check.
