Job Summary




Are you passionate about employee well-being and benefits administration?



As a Senior Benefits Analyst, you'll be at the heart of our company's efforts to foster a culture of health and well-being through the coordination and administration of our comprehensive benefit programs. Your role will involve educating, training, and communicating with employees to ensure they fully understand and utilize their benefits. You'll also conduct detailed analyses and monitoring of various programs, including health and welfare, spending accounts, retirement, paid time off, and leave of absence, ensuring everything runs smoothly and complies with all laws, regulations, and company policies. This role is critical in shaping the employee experience by promoting a healthy, supportive work environment.


This is a hybrid-remote position reporting to either the Madison, WI or Cedar Rapids, IA office.



What you will do



  • Leads the implementation of benefits programs, plans, and initiatives to ensure accuracy of plan administration, compliance and a positive employee experience.


  • Accountable for accuracy of the benefits administration system configuration.


  • Partners with vendors in handling the day-to-day relationship, questions, and issues. Assist in conducting assessments of current and future vendor relationships to ensure they fit with the organizational strategy.


  • Responsible for handling complex employee questions and issues related to administration of benefits.


  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulations governing Benefits, Retirement and Paid time Off programs; including partnering with internal staff and external auditors to support audit activities.


  • Develops and implements education and information to enhance employee understanding of our benefit and retirement programs.


  • Evaluates and analyzes plan performance, utilization, trends, and adherence to plan provisions and applicable laws and makes recommendations for changes when appropriate.


  • Leads special projects relating to benefit and/or other HR programs. Mentors and coaches less experienced team members.


  • May be responsible for designated executive benefit support.


  • Engages in other duties as needed that support our Values and help deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.





Education Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree Emphasis in human resources, business administration, or related area preferred.





Required Experience



  • 7 years of experience in human resources with experience in administration of retirement programs, health and welfare programs, or similar analytical role.


  • Experience in providing guidance to senior leadership on benefits or general human resources practices and philosophy.





Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Demonstrated effective analytical skills and ability to successfully perform accurate in-depth analysis.


  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.


  • Demonstrated ability to use computer software programs (e.g., e-mail, word processing, spreadsheet, and project management). Previous HRMS experience preferred.


  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse and inclusive work environment.
