Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Accountant in Rockville, MD.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Job Costing: Project Accountant will accurately track and allocate costs to specific projects and job phases; Monitor and report on job costs to ensure projects stay within budget


• Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, including forecasting future costs and financial needs; Identify and address cost overruns or unexpected expenses


• Financial Reporting: Prepare and present job cost reports, financial statements, and other relevant financial data to project managers and stakeholders


• Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections


• Compliance: As a Project Accountant, you will ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies in all accounting practices


• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other departments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting


• Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve discrepancies in job cost data; Provide solutions to complex financial issues related to construction projects

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field


• 2-3 years of similar experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
