Security Installation Technician at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Louisville, Kentucky

 *Summary:*
Sonitrol of Louisville, a Pye-Barker company, has been a leader in the security industry for over 50 years. Due to our continued growth, we have a position for a Security System Installer with a positive attitude and direct industry experience.
We're looking for full-time employees, working from *7:30-4:30 M-F, installing security systems. *
We provide commercial solutions for access control, fire, CCTV, and intrusion systems. No security industry experience is necessary, but candidates must have the ability to work with power tools, work on a ladder/lift, and be good with their hands.
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
*Job Requirements:*

* Experience with power hand tools and working from a ladder/lift

* Ability to run wire and hang devices in a commercial environment

* Must have strong work ethic and be able to be at work on time

* Have valid driver's license

* Participate in service on-call rotation with other technicians

* Be flexible to weekend/2nd shift work and occasional out-of-town installs

* Be able to follow directions and work independently and in a team setting

* Strong computer skills with the ability to work on client networks

*Education/Qualification:*

* A high school education or equivalent required

* Some technical school training is a plus

* Ability to operate hand and power tools

* Ability to always operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner

* Experience in a fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders

* Performs other duties as assigned by management.

*Physical Requirements:*

* Maybe required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

* Must be able to walk and stand.

* Comfortable reaching, climbing (ladder/stairs) and bending.

* Must be able to verbally communicate via telephone.

* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
