Laboratory Technician




Decatur, AL




Contract Position




Pay: $22.00-$26.00/hr

Responsibilities:

• 
  Summary: Perform chemical analysis on process samples, operate and maintain laboratory instruments, and assist in quality control and R&D projects.


• Analyze process and waste treatment samples, using specified instruments and methods.


• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, perform minor repairs, and troubleshoot issues.


• Record and report results in the system, prioritize sample requests, and maintain detailed logs.


• Assist with reagent preparation and collaborate with R&D on special projects.


• Support training for lab technicians, respond to customer inquiries, and ensure compliance with HSSE policies.


• Perform administrative tasks including filing reports, maintaining calibration schedules, and documenting procedures.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Two years of post-secondary education in a science discipline with basic chemistry or equivalent experience.


•

  • Basic math and PC skills.
  
  
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
