Job Summary

The Business Systems Analyst plays a vital role in supporting customers through technology. This person utilizes critical thinking to analyze complex business and system problems to drive solutions and perform data-driven root cause analysis for continuous improvement. The primary focus is collaborating with business and IT to implement system solutions to achieve short-term and strategic goals and investigate new uses of existing data and systems to achieve competitive advantage.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The Business Systems Analyst participates in small to very large project efforts to provide subject matter and application expertise; to gather data to inform impact analysis for business and IT; to perform validation of solutions to satisfy requirements, user needs, and business processes; to identify and document defects.

  • Duties may include responsibility for coding system configurations and automations, identifying and prioritizing technology work for the business; documenting business requirements; writing test plans; and managing end-user testing.

  • Business Systems Analysts may also partner with vendors to maintain and enhance vendor supported solutions to ensure system stability.

  • In some cases, this role may do creation and modifications of workflows and screen layouts.

  • The role will also include the development, maintenance, and production of reports from internal and external systems and sources for various constituencies.

  • The Business Systems Analyst helps team members grow their business, systems, and process knowledge and models superior customer focus, communication, and collaboration.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

  • Experience: 3+ years of progressively responsible experience in systems administration, group insurance benefits, project management or business analysis, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.

  • Basic/Moderate proficiency in one or more of the following: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Principals and Practices, Salesforce, Lean methodology, Agile methodology, Microsoft Excel, database querying applications such as SQL Server and TOAD, VBA, GIS, XML and HTML CSS.

  • Customer Service/Client management - preferred

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting or related field (PREFERRED)

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$62,750.00 - $106,500.00
