Position Summary:

The Director of Aviation Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and airworthiness of the company's aircraft fleet. This role ensures that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. The Director of Aviation Maintenance will lead a team of skilled maintenance professionals and work closely with other departments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the aviation department.

    Ensure all aircraft maintenance activities comply with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies.

    Develop and manage the maintenance schedule to minimize aircraft downtime and ensure operational readiness.

    Oversee the inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft and components.

    Implement and maintain a robust quality assurance program to ensure all maintenance activities meet regulatory and company standards.

    Develop and manage the maintenance department's budget, ensuring cost-effective operations.

    Monitor and control maintenance expenses, including parts, labor, and outsourced services.

    Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to optimize costs and service quality.

    Develop long-term plans for the maintenance department, including fleet management, technology upgrades, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role is preferred.

    
    
  
  
  • 
    

    Extensive knowledge of FAA regulations and corporate aviation maintenance standards.

The salary range for this role is:

$175,100.00 - $228,300.00

This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, the prevailing minimum wage for the location, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
