Basic Job Functions:




The role of the Safety Technician is to actively promote an injury free culture and work with all levels to continuously improve the safety performance of the division. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ensuring compliance with OSHA, and WISHA/DOSH regulations, assisting departments in safety initiatives, leading or assisting with internal process audits, developing/improving training materials, leading training sessions, assisting in safety teams, auditing contractors and assisting with outside audits.


Pay grades 20-23 ($81,994 - 94,910/yr) in addition to an average ROA bonus of 15%, along with an average 15% profit sharing.


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.




Minimum Qualifications:






Preferred Qualifications:




• 4-year degree or equivalent experience
• 2 years of proven safety related experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with safety management systems and / or OSHA VPP
