Job Description:

This position will work with the SPARK360 program on both the administrative side and supporting students in the SPARK360 program. SPARK360 participants are full-time, fully admitted undergraduate students with autism. This position will spearhead all university, adult agency, and national coordination center-related contracts, documents, degree changes, MOU, etc. The position will advise and collaborate with faculty and staff in best practice guidelines when working with participants, create and implement individualized plans for success, provide support to participants and collaborate with colleagues in the department, program, university and secondary schools.



  • Provide regular support to SPARK360 participants and hold weekly person centered-planning sessions with individual participants on a weekly basis

  • Collaborate with colleagues in the department, program, university, and secondary schools, including the ability to regularly attend recruitment opportunities and program information sessions

  • Disseminate and conduct research/data within the SPARK360 program and oversee IRB applications related to SPARK360; attend local state and national/international conferences to present research and other scholarly work; participate in grant writing to support the program

  • Implement ongoing program evaluation to ensure effectiveness

  • Responsible for program management and oversight of day-to-day operations.

  • Responsible for daily program management throughout the program lifecycle. 

  • Aligns deliverables to the program.

  • Meets with stakeholders to discuss program status and goals.

  • Manages the program oversight of ongoing projects.

  • Interfaces with university departments, funding sources, outside organizations and state/government agencies

  • Develops proposals and administers grants.

  • Manages program documentation, data collection, and reporting.

  • Develops program goals and objectives.

  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.


Required Education: Bachelor's Degree AND:



  • 48 months of program development, program management or related experience. 


Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 96 months of related experience.


Skills:



  • Able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Highly organized and able to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Able to read and interpret policy as well as State and Federal regulations

  • Able to effectively evaluate projects/programs and produce comprehensive reports

  • Able to supervise staff and communicate directions and expectations effectively

  • Strong initiative to solve problems

  • Able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives


Certifications:



  •  Valid Driver's License


Advertised Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to engage in repetitive motions.

  • Standard Office Environment.  

  • Frequent exposure to pressure caused by deadlines and busy periods.

  • May be required to travel.

  • May require contact with other departments and university officials.


Departmental Preferences:



  • Master's Degree in Ed Psych, SPED, School Psychology or Counseling, Social Work, Adult and Higher Education, or related field.


Supervision:



  • Program manager will supervise 1-5 graduate level students who will assist in mentoring and support of the SPARK360 participants.
