Under the Direction of the Network Systems Engineer II, the Network Specialist I performs specialized work which involves implementing, maintaining, servicing, and monitoring local and wide, wired, and wireless computing and telecommunications networks. Position carries out installation, testing, and technical tasks in support of the network infrastructure for connected devices. Position provides professional, courteous, and timely customer service to staff and clients.

How will I contribute
Provide hardware and software support at Kings View offices in various locations, with travel to other sites as needed. Understand issues involved with administering and maintaining corporate infrastructure, including network connectivity, Internet access, email, etc. enough to take direction from network admins. Deliver equipment, track incoming hardware in database, and deploy/retrieve hardware at various locations. Help set up and maintain computer stations and software for Microsoft Office, Citrix, Credible and other software. Assist with the administration and maintenance of the telephone system, setting up phone accounts, long distance codes, after hours call forwarding and related software. This may include training employees on proper use of phone and software use. Setup and maintain PC and network peripheral devices, repair as needed. Maintain work orders in a timely fashion. Help set up and maintain training, crisis and standby laptops, signature pads and related hardware. Oversee Internet telephony for 8x8 and Comcast systems for remote Kings View locations and equipment/connections for Telepsych services at various Kings View locations across California. Assist with the creation of new hire telephone and voicemail extensions, routing extensions to appropriate locations and updating information as employee seating assignments change. Assist in supporting corporate applications, internal corporate servers, user desktops, cellular devices, etc. Assist IT Engineers with basic troubleshooting, backup, and archiving. Help install and improve computer software and network equipment. Create network and email accounts for new users. Help answer all trouble calls/emails and enter work orders into our tracking software. Interact with a variety of staff providing excellent customer service and timely resolution of support requests. Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion. Ensure Kings View assets are maintained responsibly. Set up computers for new users and ensure delivery of equipment to users in different locations if necessary. Assist with the inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies. Promote responsible usage and care of corporate equipment. Serve as main point of contact for all IT-related matters for the offices assigned. Interact with employees to resolve basic help desk issues; communicate with employees in a professional manner maintaining confidentiality. Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions. Communicate effectively with employees to identify IT needs and work with management to come up with solutions. Maintain corporate appointed vehicle for off-site use when applicable. Accurately complete and submit time and mileage reports in a timely manner. Provide After Hours technical support for Kings View locations and customers every three weeks and be available when needed.

What I bring
High School Diploma (or Equivalent) Class C Driving License 1 year experience related to technical/repair of computer hardware, Network Interface Card (NIC) configuration, and knowledge of Windows software, Android and Apple iOS. Familiarity with Android and iOS; knowledge of variety of software for Microsoft Windows operating system and the ability to learn software quickly. Familiarity with basic IP concepts like IP address, and gateway. Knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security. Ability to setup, trouble shoot and maintain PC, laptops, signature pads, tablets, copy machine, printers, faxes, Smart HDTV and smart phones. Ability to setup, troubleshoot and maintain operating system, software and handle help desk calls. Ability to work in challenging and difficult environments and the ability to maintain excellent customer service. Able to lift 50lbs. Willingness to visit client locations. Availability to perform network repairs outside of business hours. Great organizational and time management skills. Capable of prioritizing activities and schedule to obtain effective results. Able to work independently with little supervision. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Exceptional analytical, and problem-solving skills. A+, Net+, or MCP certification. Bachelors Degree in computer science or related Preferred
