Job Title: Senior Information Security Engineer - Control Management


Job Description Summary: As a Senior Information Security Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining security systems within our network, including computer systems and data. You will identify, formulate, and implement policies and procedures to mitigate regulatory, operational, strategic, and reputational risks.


About the Role: We are looking for a motivated Senior Information Security Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will work on cutting-edge encryption, tokenization, and key management technologies to protect company-wide information. This role involves providing technical support and contributing to the design, deployment, and maintenance of cryptographic products and services. You will report directly to the Product Manager of Critical Infrastructure within Secure Network Services.


Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Critical Infrastructure process and control owners for Control Assurance requirements.


• Maintain and update the Critical Infrastructure profile of applicable regulations and associated controls.


• Establish and manage the inventory of relevant business processes, governance channels, and regulatory engagements.


• Conduct risk assessments to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, systems, technology, and internal controls.


• Provide reporting and updates to Secure Network Services Leadership and Enterprise risk committees.


• Deploy automation strategies for encryption, tokenization, and key management products and services.


• Provide technical guidance and oversight to teams responsible for product delivery and operational maintenance.


• Support company-driven audits and drive product enhancements to remediate findings.


• Conduct technical investigations of incidents to identify causes and recommend mitigation strategies.


• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.

Job Expectations:

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.


• Ability to work onsite in a hybrid model.


• This position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in Risk Management or Financial Services Industry.


• 2+ years of experience in Information Security Engineering.


• Intermediate to advanced scripting/automation experience with tools such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible, VBScript, or JavaScript.


• Experience with Linux and Windows server environments.


• Knowledge of cryptographic protocols and algorithms.


• Experience with infrastructure upgrades, security patches, and version upgrades.


• Familiarity with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.


• Proven experience with change and incident management in medium to large enterprise environments.

Desired Qualifications:

• Technical understanding of business operations, processes, products, and customer interactions.


• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently.


• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD automated build and deployment processes.


• Experience with application support in Linux and Windows server environments.


• Experience mentoring and guiding less experienced staff.


• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.


• Advanced critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities.


• Security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent.


• Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced technology and/or information security organization.
