Job Description:

The Vice President OEM Sales-Agriculture is responsible for leading the Agriculture OEM sales organization and for achieving annual sales growth objectives. This position is responsible for sales strategy development and for effective sales execution of the strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Leads the development and execution of the Agriculture OEM sales strategy which integrates OTR's values, mission, resources, and goals.
  2. Sets challenging and realistic goals for growth, performance and profitability for the Agriculture OEM markets that align with the organization's financial and operational objectives.
  3. Partners with Global VP OEM Sales & Marketing on budgeting, forecasting annual sales and gross profit budgets, along with strategies and tactics to achieve them.
  4. Provides clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to Agriculture OEM sales team members to foster their professional growth and development.
  5. Establish and lead cadence around Agriculture OEM KPIs and analytics.
  6. Champion sales process implementation and CRM system adoption.
  7. Utilize strong business acumen to analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and develop innovative sales strategies.
  8. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Customer Care, Inside Sales, Marketing, Engineering and Finance to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  9. Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the Agriculture OEM sales organization.
  10. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making and drive competitive advantage.
  11. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills / Abilities:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has direct supervisory responsibilities. Will direct a team in order to meet/satisfy individual/company objectives.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. At times, employees might be exposed to a manufacturing environment, including forklift traffic, fumes and noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

Physical Demands:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. In order to meet our customer demands and internal objectives, at times this role will be required to work outside of the normal schedule, including weekends.

Travel:

Travel for this position is estimated to average 50% for in-the-field Sales Rep coaching and development, customer visits and customer/industry trade shows.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent work experience and/or education.
  1. At least 10 years' experience in a commercial sales leadership position within an equipment manufacturing environment required.
  2. Strong background in creating and implementing successful sales strategies for engineered solutions required.
  3. Proven ability to liaise effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders both cross functionally for internal collaboration and within the targeted OEM customer base.
  4. Exceptional business acumen and financial skills required.
