Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the company's OEM Server platform ecosystem program and develop strategies to scale it successfully


• Collaborate with the platform SME team to explore new hardware technologies and integrate them with the client's stack to provide optimal solutions for end customers


• Work closely with the client's Product Management team to understand business needs, define Intel and AMD-based hardware platform configurations, and create software solutions that enhance their leadership in the Hybrid-Cloud Infrastructure domain


• Take charge of software and hardware bug triages and debugging, providing guidance to the client's internal development teams to ensure timely fixes


• Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans for the client's platform validation, working alongside hardware, software, and quality assurance teams to drive system validation and meet performance requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is required, along with 4-6 years of industry experience


• Experience of working with storage software stack architecture and related components such as storage controllers, solid-state devices, and hard disk drives


• It is important to be familiar with OS internals, hardware device drivers, and design/implementation tradeoffs when integrating hardware technologies into systems software


• You should have a love for programming and be rock-solid in one or more languages, such as Python, Go, or any other scripted languages


• Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills are necessary for this role


• Additionally, it is important to have extensive knowledge of Intel x86 and AMD Server platform architecture, performance characterization, and optimization


• Experience working with virtualization technologies like VMware, KVM, Hyper-V, or Xen, with VMware or KVM being preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
