Applications are invited for a postdoctoral researcher position in the Pease Lab in the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Organismal Biology at The Ohio State. The successful candidate will conduct research on tropical tree genomic and transcriptomic evolution related to climate stress. Project opportunities include studying drought tolerance in African acacias through phylogenomics and transcriptomics, ongoing work on the evolutionary genomics of wild and domesticated tomatoes, and related projects developing innovative models of genomic and transcriptomic evolution . The position is 100% research (50% data analysis, 40% manuscript preparation, 10% research dissemination and other research-related tasks).
Required: Ph.D. in ecology, evolutionary biology, remote sensing, geography, statistics, mathematics, or closely related fields. A solid working knowledge of genomic computational analysis is required for this position.
Desired: Candidates with experience with molecular evolution analysis or phylogenomic analysis are particularly encouraged to apply. Interest in or experience in plant biology or plant physiology are a plus. Candidates must have excellent English writing and verbal communication skills, as well as an established record of high productivity.

The pay range for this job profile is $61,008 - $65,000. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications
The position is available for one year with the possibility of renewal.
