The Research Development Partnerships Senior Analyst (RDPSA) at the Gas Turbine Laboratory (GTL) provides complex organizational and administrative project coordination for GTL, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students working on large-scale and multi-year research programs. The position will serve as the point of contact with sponsors for the day-to-day technical and administrative updates. The role will also ensure compliance of research activities with sponsor requirements. The GTL leadership work with this position to assign staff and students to projects for varying time durations. The roles duties include: tracking and guiding project scope and objectives in coordination with the team's research leadership; supporting the creation of the management plan for the projects; forecasting and managing resources needed to reach objectives in partnership with the project Principal Investigator (PI); developing and managing detailed project schedules and work plans in coordination with the team's research leadership; providing project updates on a consistent basis to project PIs and external stakeholders; utilizing best practices, techniques, and standards throughout the entire project execution; and measuring project performance to identify areas for improvement. The RDPSA will also assist in bringing in additional funding opportunities by building relationships with industrial contacts, reviewing government calls for proposals, and providing input during proposal development. The RDPSA also leads the compilation of research project reports including reporting as mandated by sponsoring agencies. Supports planning and execution of meetings, conferences, events, and travel related to assigned research projects. Finally, the RDPSA works with research staff on critical tasks to complete projects on schedule and assists overseeing operation of the test facilities as needed.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree: Major Engineering or equivalent experience
Required: 4 years relevant experience in project management; Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices. Experience seeing projects through full life cycle. Excellent analytical skills and resourcefulness. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with individuals from varied academic backgrounds at varied job levels. Experience with sponsorship work/funding Proven ability to work individually and as part of a complex team to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
Desired: Advanced degree with related experience. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Experience working in an academic environment. Experience working on sponsored research projects.
The target hiring range for this job profile is $79,000- $105,000. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limit to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
