Position Overview


The John Glenn College of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Autumn 2025. We encourage applications from individuals engaged in high-quality scholarship in any subfield of public administration and management. We value applicants whose research agendas align with those of
current faculty members
. Responsibilities will include teaching core and elective public management courses in the College's undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degree programs. We encourage applicants to describe teaching and professional development experiences that have prepared them to teach and mentor learners at all levels. In addition to scholarship and teaching, responsibilities will include service to the college, university, field of public affairs, and community. Relevant prior professional/management experience is desired but not required for the position.

Required Education and Experiences


Qualified applicants must:




  • Be engaged in research in any subfield of public administration and management.






  • Have or be on track to complete a Ph.D. in Public Administration, Public Affairs, Management, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field before starting the position.






Desired Experiences




  • Record of publication in public affairs journals or other research outlets.






  • Prior teaching and/or instructional development experience.






  • Prior professional/management experience.
