Job Title:Post Doctoral ScholarDepartment:Pharmacy | Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology

The interdisciplinary lab of Dr. Peixuan Guo at The Ohio State University seeks a Postdoctoral Scholar experienced in either molecular biology, cellular biology, vertebrate animal models, murine cancer models, human cell culture, biotechnology, biochemistry, protein/RNA structural computation, RNA nanotechnology, or nucleic acids chemistry. The goal is to transform basic science research in RNA nanotechnology and extracellular vesicles through innovative approaches to disease treatment and diagnostics, creating the next generation scientific workforce. The researcher will work on projects related to chemical modification of RNA nanoparticles and mRNA, development of novel CRISPR and mRNA therapeutics and delivery vehicles, in depth studies of therapeutic assays of nanoparticles, delivery of developed therapeutics by engineered exosomes, and fundamental studies of viral assembly mechanisms through component associations and mutations.






Required Qualifications


PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as organizational skills and attention to detail are a must; ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills and to be flexible to changing priorities. Previous experience in RNA nanotechnology, extracellular vesicles (exosomes), CRISPR design and delivery, or mRNA therapeutics. Should have previous vertebrate animal model experience; Strong cell culture and sterilization techniques.
