This position will consist of: 1. Sample preparation, organization, analysis and disposal; 2. Analyzing soil, water, plant and waste samples using ICP, Carbon-Nitrogen analyzer, Flow injection auto-analyzer; 3. Performing titration, pH and EC analysis with appropriate instruments; 4. Performing routine instrument maintenance; 5. Maintaining analysis quality with internal and external QC samples; 6. Assisting other technicians with their duties and possibility in supervising part time technicians; 7. Required: High School/GED with 2 years related experience
Vocational/technical or post- secondary education may be substituted in lieu of experience

 Basic wet chemistry laboratory skills such as making standards, mixing solutions; basic instrument use such as pH meters and spectrophotometer

Must be able to work using strong acids and bases is required. Personal safety equipment such as lab coat, gloves, and eye protection is required. Working conditions can be noisy and dusty.

Some heavy lifting may be required.
