(Contingent upon available funding): 16.53 - 18.60, Hourly Work Schedule: Typically 8 hrs/day, 5 days/week Faculty Appt Period: Job Summary: Position Summary: 

The Procedure Scheduler is primarily responsible for scheduling surgeries,tests, and pre-op appointments; explaining preparations; and collectingdeductibles and copayments for surgeries.  The Procedure Scheduler is under the overallon-site supervision of the Cardiology Supervisor



Environmental Hazards:


Possible exposure tohazardous material, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.



Physical Requirements:

Education & Experience Position Qualifications: Qualifications: 

-HS school diploma or GED
-At least six (6) months of previous insurance experience in a health clinicsetting or equivalent experience.
-Valid Driver's License 



Skills,Proficiencies, and Knowledge:
- Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills are important.  
- Customer service experience and knowledge of word processing are required.  
- Typing speed of 25 words per minute and computer skills are essential.  
- Must collaborate well with team members and think logically to decide on next steps.  
- Ability to start tasks independently, maintain high productivity, and effectively plan work is necessary.
