Description:


Postdoctoral Fellow position is available to study the molecular mechanisms regulating blood pressure and kidney dysfunction. The candidate will be responsible for projects involving single cell transcriptomics and genetic/epigenetic molecular mechanisms of fibrosis and inflammation contributing to hypertension and kidney dysfunction.




Qualifications:


PhD, MD. MD/PhD or equivalent is required.


Candidate must have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, and imaging. Additional experience with single cell assay and some computational background would be desired but not required. Experience with confocal immunofluorescence microscopy will be preferred. Must be willing to work with and guide students and technologists, generate publications, contribute to grants, and work as a team to help with day-to-day operations of the lab. Preferred qualifications also include prior publications, good writing skills,  and experience working with small animals.
