Department Information
The Department of Educational Programs and Services (EPS) is home to departments and programs that are central to the educational mission of the Stanford University School of Medicine.We serve all populations of students and trainees who participate in the School's programs: Stanford MD, MS, MSPA, and PhD students; visiting MD students seeking clinical clerkships; postdoctoral scholars and medical fellows; and medical practitioners seeking further professional enrichment. Our goal is to provide a Stanford School of Medicine experience worthy of our students' and trainees' talents, aspirations, and dedication.
Job Purpose
We are seeking an Executive Director of Medical Education Innovation (Academic Operations Manager 3) to work directly with educational, and other University leaders at all levels (Deans, Senior Associate Deans, Associate Deans, and Directors) to design, initiate, direct and monitor the institutional strategic plans for the full continuum of medical education programs at the School of Medicine. Using an in-depth knowledge of complex project management, strategic planning and analysis, and process improvement tools and methodologies, the Executive Director will effectively integrate the needs of senior leadership, short-term and long-term program goals, and relevant institutional policies and procedures, to design effective plans and operational strategies. The Executive Director will also play a pivotal role in collaborating with the central School of Medicine Strategic Planning office and the Faculty LCME lead for the education portion of the periodic LCME Accreditation reviews. This position will drive the education portion of the accreditation process, ensuring that the appropriate faculty and educators come together and address issues in a thorough and systematic way.
This position will be based on the Stanford campus and requires the incumbent to work on-site.

Bachelor's degree and seven years of relevant experience in administrative and financial management, or combination of education and relevant experience.

Work Standards
The expected pay range for this position is $189,000 to $232,350 per annum.
