Post Doctoral Associate
Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24007787)

Required Educational Background:
The applicant must hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field. They should have three years of work experience in automated optical inspection (AOI) of circuit boards, machine vision, and deep learning.

Required Skills:
The required skill set includes experimental, analytical, and computational research in electronic component defect detection, machine vision, and deep learning. Practical experience in applying deep learning and AI technologies to automatic optical inspection systems is essential. Proficiency in Python, Pytorch, and Matlab and excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. In addition to conducting research, the duties may include guiding students, writing reports, conducting literature reviews, and assisting with lab projects.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include conducting research, supervising graduate students, writing journal publications, preparing progress reports, planning, developing, and implementing technical and scientific research programs, and assisting with proposal writing and data collection.
