Job Description:

The Director of Business Development plays an important role to ensure DJAY Energy customers are supported with their fueling needs. Key activities include being an account manager for customers and supporting the General Manager with overall operations and supporting key partnerships with Explorers Transport and Clipper Petroleum. The Director of Business Development is also involved with growing DJAY Energy's business with new customers.

$70,000/annually plus bonus

Essential Functions

Business Growth
• Grow long term petroleum volume and profitability through supplying of fuel to governments, marinas, construction sites, farms, fleets, manufacturing plants, unbranded retail sites
• Secure profitable fuel supply to satisfy sales contracts and quotes

Operations
  • Manage customer accounts.
  • Lead and respond to customer service inquiries and issues, including outside of normal business hours.
  • Facilitate organic growth of current customer accounts.
  • Process and physically fulfill fuel loads at the DJAY Energy bulk plant.

• Coordinate delivery of fuel with Explorers Transport to customers
• Communicate pricing to customers and potential customers

o Sending quotes to potential customers via email

o Sending out daily price sheets
• Manage and qualify all customers, including credit risk

o Manage fuel purchasing from suppliers with the General Manager

Networking
• Nurture and build relationships with the government entities, fuel suppliers, equipment vendors, and service providers.
• Participate in industry related trade shows and state associations to broaden DJAY Energy's prospect base.

Requirements
  • Sales experience working with both independent owners and governments.
  • Proven track record of proficiently managing multiple accounts and/or projects.
  • Proven track record to lead successful teams.
  • Knowledge of downstream branded petroleum supply industry strongly preferred.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
• This is a full-time position. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday, 8-5 PM - minimum 45 hours per week. Evening and weekend work will be required as duties demand as you will be expected to be available at all hours to field calls and address urgent customer and issues.

Working Conditions
• DJAY Energy Corporate office based in Gainesville, GA.
• Physically capable to distribute fuel loads at the DJAY Energy bulk plant.
• Company Car
• You could be in the field 3-4 days/week (on average) to make sales calls or meet with key accounts.

Other Requirements
• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel is required.
