We seek licensed (LMFT/LCSW/LPCC) or associate clinicians (ASW/AMFT/APCC) to provide ASAM assessments, clinical consultation with certified substance use counselors (CADC or SUDCC), group therapy, and individual counseling. The role will involve providing a full spectrum of clinical services for residential Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) services and clinical consultation to our AOD treatment teams. Key Responsibilities
Medi-Cal AOD ASAM Assessments:
Conduct thorough and accurate ASAM assessments for individuals seeking AOD treatment, adhering to Medi-Cal guidelines and best practices.
Determine appropriate levels of care and develop individualized treatment recommendations.
Maintain detailed documentation of assessments and recommendations.
Treatment Services:
Provide therapy for a caseload of 16 clients with concurrent disorders.
Training in and experience providing evidence-informed practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Facilitate psychoeducational and psychotherapy groups on topics related to recovery, trauma, resilience, and stress management.
Engage the clients' support systems through couples and family intervention.
LPHA Clinical Consultation:
Provide expert clinical consultation to our certified counselors, supporting their work with AOD clients.
Collaborate on complex cases, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.
Offer guidance on evidence-based practices and ethical considerations.
Collaboration:
Work closely with intake staff, clinicians, and other team members to ensure seamless client care.
Participate in clinical team meetings and case conferences.
Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Education: Master's degree in social work (MSW), counseling psychology (MA/MSc), or clinical psychology (MA/MSc)
Licensure: Licensed as an LMFT/LMFT/LPCC or registered associate (ASW/AMFT/APCC) in California.
Minimum of 2 years of experience conducting ASAM assessments.
Demonstrated expertise in Medi-Cal AOD regulations and procedures.
Experience providing clinical consultation to LPHAs is a plus.
In-depth understanding of AOD treatment modalities and best practices.
Robust assessment and diagnostic skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
