Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Day Shift Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials over various routes. If you have experience in commercial driving with a proven safe driving record, we want to hear from you.

Job Purpose

Safely load and deliver products from one location to another while maintaining compliance of all state and federal traffic laws.

Performs the following duties personally.

Supervision/Direction

The supervisor provides continuing or individual assignments by indicating generally what is to be done, limitations, quality and quantity expected, deadlines, and priority of assignments. The supervisor provides additional, specific instructions for new, difficult, or unusual assignments including suggested work methods or advice on source material available.

Essential Functions

Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspection.
  • Maintain cleanliness of truck or other company owned equipment.
  • Perform daily truck log input data.
  • Perform daily maintenance/checklist on truck.
  • Coordinate and communicate with dispatchers.
  • Secure cargo and properly arrange/balance within trailer.
  • Comply with truck driving state and federal rules and regulations and follow all traffics laws.
  • Report defects, accidents, and violations.
  • Verify loads and final destination for accuracy.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Assist training new drivers/employees as needed.
  • Other assignments or projects as requested by any member of management.

Knowledge and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL License/ Medical Card
  • Good driving record (must be insurable) and knowledge of DOT regulations (no recent moving or driving violations)
  • Proven work experience as a Truck Driver

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Communicates clearly, persuasively, and professionally in positive or negative situations; adapts communication style to fit the individual(s) and the situation; asks questions to gain understanding of situations and individual needs; listens to others without interrupting and gets clarification. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 60 per week
