Job Description:

The Foreman plays an integral role within the Service Department Management team at Bailey. The Foreman manages branch technicians, assists with hiring, onboarding and training, dispatch, and troubleshooting of repairs. The Foreman also oversees building and fleet maintenance, as well as other branch duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Communicate HR, Safety, and other messages to all technicians at the branch.
  2. Manage branch technicians and complete HR related responsibilities such as annual reviews, disciplinary notes, etc.
  3. Work with the Service Manager on hiring, onboarding, and new hire training.
  4. Train branch technicians as requested by the Service Manager and assist technicians in problem solving.
  5. Facilitate dispatch and technician flow through the branch.
  6. Monitor and ensure proper maintenance of the building, rental fleet, and vehicle fleet.
  7. Ensure technicians follow all safety guidelines.
  8. Assist with service department quoting.
  9. Serve as backup and assistant to the Service Manager for other duties as required.
  10. Handle other duties and special projects as assigned.

Education/Training/Experience:
  • Technical school certificate or equivalent experience in mechanical repairs
  • High school diploma

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
  • Strong mechanical skills

  • Good, safe work habits
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills
  • Ability to work with minimal or no supervision in the field

License(s) or Certification(s) Required:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Forklift Certification
