The Strategic Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, components, and services that align with our strategic goals. This role requires strong negotiation skills, market analysis expertise, and the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will contribute to cost-saving initiatives while ensuring product quality and timely delivery.
What will you do day-to-day?
Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans to meet organizational objectives.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Conduct market research to stay informed of industry trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing fluctuations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on procurement needs.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
Implement cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement strategies within the procurement process.
Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information.
Analyze spend data and create reports to identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
Who are you?
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
7+ years of procurement experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
Strong negotiation and analytical skills, with a proven track record of achieving cost savings.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
