Raleigh Plumbing & Heating has served the Triangle area since 1992. We are a local, family owned company with a single location in Raleigh. We are currently seeking a full-time Project Estimator to join our dedicated team.

** This is not a remote position, only local in-person applicants will be reviewed **

Role Description

As a Project Estimator, you will play a vital role in our plumbing projects, estimating costs, time, and materials for both New Construction and Remodel projects. You will collaborate closely with the Decorative Showroom team to incorporate selections from builders, homeowners, and designers. Your effective communication regarding change orders and cost adjustments will be essential in maintaining project timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately estimate costs, materials, and labor for plumbing projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Collaborate with the Decorative Showroom to incorporate selections from builders, homeowners, and designers into project estimates.
  • Review and analyze project plans, blueprints, and specifications to identify any potential issues or discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and provide timely communication of any changes in project scope, cost differences, or change orders.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all estimates, including any changes made throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with project managers and field teams to track project progress and respond to any changes in scope or conditions.
  • Stay updated on material costs and construction practices to provide accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Participate in project meetings as required.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Project Estimator or similar role in the construction industry
  • Strong math and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft programs - this is a requirement as all of our estimating is completed in an excel based program
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and best practices
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
