Your Role: Academic Worker- Government Affairs (Washington D.C.)

In your role as the Academic Worker, you will evaluate the current status of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) monitoring within World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) member countries. The project will assess the evolution of these systems, identify existing gaps and challenges, and offer practical recommendations for improvement.

Your Deliverables:

• A comprehensive report on current AMR monitoring capabilities, their evolution, and identified gaps, with actionable recommendations for improving infrastructure, data standardization, technology integration, and policy frameworks.


• A comparative analysis of AMR monitoring across WOAH member countries.


• Identification of key policy and business topics, supported by relevant data.


• Identification of trends to develop monitoring and similar AMR intervention capabilities in countries, supported by relevant data/observations.


• Recommendations for Elanco, addressing both business and policy areas.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

• Education: Currently enrolled in undergrad or graduate studies in one of the following areas: public health, epidemiology, microbiology or biomedical sciences, public policy or global health, or data science


• Strong communication skills, both written and oral

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

• Have an interest in animal health and/or veterinary medicine


• Excellent organizational and time management skills


• Proven to be self-motivated, with demonstrated high level of responsibility and professionalism
