Intercap Lending is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Loan Processor to join our team. The Loan Processor plays a crucial role in facilitating the mortgage loan process by gathering, verifying, and preparing documentation for underwriting and closing. The successful candidate will work closely with borrowers, loan officers, and underwriters to ensure a smooth and efficient loan processing experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in mortgage loan processing, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Review loan applications and gather all necessary documentation from borrowers, loan officers, and third-party sources.
* Verify the accuracy and completeness of loan documentation, including income, assets, employment, and credit information.
* Input loan data into the loan origination system accurately and efficiently.
* Prepare and submit loan files to underwriting for approval.
* Communicate with borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to provide updates and gather additional information as needed.
* Monitor loan processing timelines and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
* Collaborate with the closing team to coordinate the loan closing process.
* Maintain accurate and organized loan files and documentation.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
* 2+ years of experience in mortgage loan processing.
* Strong understanding of mortgage loan processing, underwriting, and closing processes.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with borrowers and team members.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
* Familiarity with mortgage loan origination software and related technologies is a plus.
