The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, including maintaining accurate financial records, managing financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves supervising accounting staff, developing internal control policies, and providing strategic financial insights to support business decisions. In this Direct hire opportunity you could earn between $90,000 and $115,000 DOE.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
Manage month-end and year-end close processes
Generate financial reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts
Oversee general ledger operations, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments
Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate and facilitate external audits and internal reviews
Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors
Supervise and mentor accounting staff
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA Preferred
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 in a supervisory role
Proficient Microsoft Office Suite and experience with large ERP system
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
