Are you a financial expert with a passion for advancing life-changing research? Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) is seeking a dedicated Research Administration and Finance Manager to join our team.
You will play a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies that support the growth and sustainability of our cancer research programs. You'll oversee budgeting, contracting, and accounting, ensuring compliance and maximizing funding opportunities. Your expertise will contribute to the development and implementation of strategic plans, fostering a culture of fiscal responsibility and efficiency. Your expertise will be instrumental in fostering a culture of fiscal responsibility and efficiency, ultimately driving our progress toward finding cures and improving the lives of cancer patients and their loved ones.
Key Responsibilities: • Develop and manage research budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting • Negotiate contracts with sponsors and vendors to optimize financial terms • Oversee accounting processes, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement • Collaborate with researchers, sponsors, and administrators to optimize funding strategies • Lead and mentor a team of 10+ financial professionals
Qualifications: • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a healthcare finance environment, with two (2) years at a supervisor or manager level. • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field • Strong understanding of financial principles and research funding • Proficiency in financial software and analysis tools • Excellent organizational and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
