We are assisting our client in the manufacturing industry in finding a Director of Finance and Accounting. The role reports to the VP Finance, and will be an integral member of the finance and accounting organization.
Responsibilities of the role include:
Assessing and analyzing risks impacting the organization from an accounting/finance, and operational perspective;
Review of revenue recognition per ASC 606, particularly as it relates to long-term contracts;
Working cross-functionally with business unit and project teams;
Preparing/reviewing technical accounting memos to support revenue recognition;
Serving as a liaison between business units/segments and corporate management;
Conducting/reviewing cost variance analysis to identify trends and mitigate potential budget impacts;
Participating in business unit performance review meetings;
Spearheading monthly/quarterly reporting that provide financial and operational information to executive management;
Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
CPA preferred
10+ years working in a finance/accounting role, or in public accounting, preferably at a Big 4 firm
Strong technical accounting background
Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
