OVERVIEW:

Our client is a growth-focused private equity firm that invests in leading middle market tech-enabled services businesses. The firm focuses on companies with up to $250mm TEV, and are in process of closing a second fund.

VP, HEAD OF VALUE CREATION:

Our client is seeking to add a "VP, Head of Value Creation" to their team with a Jan/Feb 2025 anticipated start date. Our client is seeking someone with an entrepreneurial spirit to build the function, as well as drive value creation initiatives across its portfolio companies. In partnership with the investment team, the Head of Value Creation will develop efficiencies, centralize processes, implement solutions, and drive strategic projects across existing and future portfolio companies. The VP will own dedicated value creation projects and will be directly interfacing with the management teams at the portfolio companies. Projects will be wide ranging and include:

  • Diligence process management
  • 100-day planning and onboarding
  • Strategic planning and refresh sessions
  • Market study development
  • Growth Strategy projects (i.e., Go-to-Market strategy, Channel strategy, Sales & Marketing enablement)
  • Process improvement projects
  • Organizational design (i.e., executive, and middle management)
  • Integration planning and facilitation
  • Synergy planning and tracking
  • Culture survey and diagnostic

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 6-10 years in management consulting, operational/performance improvement consulting, similar PE operations role, and/or internal strategy / corporate development / operational role
  • Prior experience from a top management consulting firm highly preferred
  • MBA preferred but not required
  • Knowledge and experience in deal-driven environments: M&A planning, M&A execution, integration work strongly preferred (i.e., operational due diligence, 100-day planning, Day-1 readiness)
  • History of successfully implementing operational/performance improvement initiatives that increased operational maturity and delivered measurable financial impact
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects across multiple companies at once, delivering in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Track record of building strong relationships cross-functionally
  • Robust communication skills and executive presence, able to correspond effectively and present information succinctly to key stakeholders
  • Ability to work with large, complex data sets. This includes portfolio company operational, and financial data, as well as third-party datasets
  • Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet changing deadlines and priorities across multiple projects
