As a young company with an established market presence, they are looking for a hands-on Chief Financial Officer (CFO) who can help drive their financial strategy and operations as they continue to grow.
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced CFO who will play a crucial role in shaping the company's financial future. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a startup environment and the ability to develop and implement robust financial processes and procedures. This role requires a strategic and hands-on leader, with a passion for innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute the company's financial strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business goals. Provide financial leadership and guidance to the executive team and Board of Directors.
Process Development & Implementation: Design and implement financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Oversee the implementation of financial systems and tools to support the company's growth.
Financial Reporting & Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including quarterly and annual reports for the SEC. Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and manage relationships with external auditors.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to optimize financial performance. Monitor financial performance against the budget and identify areas for improvement.
Capital Management: Oversee capital structure, including equity and debt financing. Manage investor relations and communicate the company's financial performance and strategy to shareholders and potential investors.
Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including market, credit, and operational risks. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and protect the company's assets.
Team Development: Build and lead a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA preferred.
10+ years of financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO role or equivalent.
Prior experience in a startup environment is essential, as well as a proven ability to develop and implement financial processes and procedures.
Strong knowledge of SEC reporting requirements and public company compliance.
Experience in the Fintech industry is highly desirable.
