A Portfolio Management Operations Senior Associate is needed for a new functional team in Investment Research Operations. This role provides operational support for portfolio management and helps implement a new portfolio management platform. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The role involves working closely with investment teams and other departments, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the investment process, and contributing to broader firm development.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate investment records and ensure timely data collection.
Reconcile investment records with administrators and resolve discrepancies.
Calculate trades and manage liquidity and cash flow for investment vehicles.
Oversee vehicle participation in capacity-constrained situations and manage new trading relationships.
Develop and maintain reporting and ensure client cash flows meet requirements.
Strategic Projects:
Support the implementation of new portfolio management software.
Define and test development requirements and suggest efficiency improvements.
Develop solutions for custom analysis requests and ensure compliance with service level agreements.
Maintain process documentation and propose enhancements.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in investment operations and understanding of trading and reconciliation functions
Demonstrated interest in investments and commitment to continued learning
Experience working on high-visibility projects
Strong quantitative skills and attention to detail
Undergraduate degree with strong track record of academic achievement
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
An intellectually curious self starter who is energized by contributing to the success of the business
Technical skills such as Python, PowerBI, SQL and Excel macros is a plus
