Job Description:

The Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of the company. This includes managing financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Oversee the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audits.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop financial strategies and initiatives.
  • Provide leadership and development opportunities for accounting staff.
  • Participate in the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a team and work collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
