Our client is seeking a staff accountant with 3 - 5 years' experience in the field, ability to multi-task, strong organizational skills, and is pursuing a fast paced and entrepreneurial atmosphere. The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
Assist with inter-entity reconciliations
Assure accuracy and integrity of financial accounting data through account analysis
Implementing control techniques and assuring control processes are being followed
Perform bank reconciliations
Prepare and input general journal entries and/or transaction entries in a timely manner
Preparation of monthly financial statements
Prepare financial overview of monthly financial operations for management
Supervise operational accounting personnel (2) in accounts payable, credit card analysis, and rebilling entities; ability to perform such functions as needed.
Supervise operational accounting personnel (1) in performing invoicing and recording of collects from front end system; ability to perform such functions as needed.
Qualifications
Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and timely as you will be working with multiple entities
Bachelor of Science in accounting
Experience with account analysis and account review
Experience with accounts payable & receivables and invoicing
Experience with Excel
Knowledge of accounting and business processes and procedures
Knowledge of general ledger systems; Sage or QuickBooks preferred
