Our well-established client in Nashua, NH is seeking an experienced Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a term-to-perm basis. This role focuses on Tax and Treasury operations, offering a blend of hybrid work flexibility and career growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and Maintain Financial Spreadsheets: Develop and update detailed spreadsheets for tracking insurance audits, policy renewals, prepaid expenses, and cash taxes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Monitor Bank Fees and Cost Management: Analyze and track monthly bank fees, identifying trends and opportunities for cost savings. Provide detailed reports to management, helping to optimize financial performance.
  • Maintain Cash Forecast Models: Assist in developing and maintaining cash flow forecast models to predict future liquidity needs, ensuring sufficient cash flow for operations while identifying potential financial risks.
  • Tax Account Administration: Support the opening and closing of tax accounts across multiple states. Ensure compliance with state-specific regulations and provide necessary documentation to regulatory bodies.
  • General Ledger Reporting: Collect and analyze general ledger data to produce concise, high-level financial summaries. Present key findings to senior management for strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively conveying financial information over the phone and through digital platforms.
  • ERP System Proficiency: Experience working with ERP systems is essential, with preference for candidates familiar with EPICOR. Ability to navigate, extract, and interpret financial data efficiently.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Demonstrated expertise in creating and utilizing pivot tables for data analysis, reporting, and trend tracking.
  • Investigative and Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies, follow up on unresolved issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Organizational Prowess: A detail-oriented approach to work with the ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain structured records, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Discretion and Confidentiality: Handle sensitive financial information with a high degree of confidentiality, ensuring all financial practices adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
